7th Legion is a real-time strategycomputer game for Microsoft Windows, developed by Vision and Epic MegaGames and published by MicroProse in 1997. The game consists of two single-player campaigns and supports multiplayer online games. On February 18, 2014, Tommo Inc. re-released the game on GOG.com, but without multiplayer.

 

The game keeps true to most other videogames of its genre, that is, putting the player in control of a number of soldiers. During the game players assume the role of a commander of either the Chosen or those that were left behind, with the overall objective being to annihilate the other. To do so, the player have to amass funds to construct various buildings and produce tanks and various war-machines whilst also recruiting foot-soldiers to combat the enemy.

 

Each player is also able to collect special "power-ups" that would be found in boxes that randomly dotted the landscape. These would provide bonuses to the force who collected the box. These bonuses might include making the players forces invisible to the enemy or more powerful and thus harder to defeat.

 

 

What made 7th Legion truly unique, however, was that the player (and his opponent) could take advantage of special "power cards." These cards, each being different from each other, had effects on the game in some way. Some cards would destroy the opponents soldiers, or at least badly damage them, whilst others would cause mechanical troops to behave in a way that wasnt intended, often leading the opponents machines in the wrong direction or not doing what was required of them.

A Game of Thrones: Genesis is a strategy video game developed by Cyanide and published by Focus Home Interactive released exclusively for Microsoft Windows on September 28, 2011 in North America, September 29, 2011 in Europe and October 13, 2011 in Australia. The game is an adaptation of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R. R. Martin and is the first such video game adaptation. The game takes place over 1,000 years of the fictional history of Westeros, beginning with the arrival of the Rhoynar led by the warrior-queen Nymeria.

 

Gameplay focuses on capturing nodes—castles, towns and goldmines—with characters. Emphasis is placed on the rock-paper-scissors mechanics of "underhanded" characters rather than the brute force combat strength of traditional realtime strategy games. The goal of the game is to win the Iron Throne and doing so can be done by amassing enough prestige within the game. Each house has special units and abilities. House Stark has direwolves and House Baratheon has better archers for example. The game has two modes of play: Versus and Campaign. The game features four main facets: diplomacy, military, economic, and underhand.

Its a very refreshing and bold design for the developers of the 7 wonders series, as it was almost toally a facelift or a gamelift. Surprising better and better with every series. Previous series is just building the main monuments, but THIS! Building the main colony (or some such air thingy buildings) and lots of decorative things (as mentioned flowers, trees, ponds, its kinda of almost endless), and lots of buildings for your space areas, eg, landing pad (which u would encounter in the 1hr trial, so I am not giving away spoilers that didnt appear in trial). 

Game can be played in 4 different modes : Insane, Difficult, Normal and Zen the latter being untimed so the game will be suited to everyone from beginners to the seasoned Match 3 players. Room for various profiles so the game can be shared. I encountered no tech problems in the hour demo. The cursor was nice and stable, which wasnt the case in some of the previous 7 Wonder games. Gold to be earned to buy various items to decorate your village, love this added feature, achievements to be reached, different sort of power ups to be won. Good explaination on what everything was and what its purpose was etc, even a bit of history on each location.

7 Sins is a life simulationvideo game where the player must get to the top of the social ladder and make decisions related to the seven deadly sins. The game is set in the fictional Apple City. Throughout the game the player makes decisions based on pride, wrath, greed, envy, lust, sloth and gluttony. Once a relationship has been built new missions are unlocked. In total there are seven chapters and one hundred non-player characters to interact with.

 

 

PC Zone’s staff rated the game 6 out of 10, stating "We cant wholeheartedly recommend 7 Sins as a total gaming experience..", but added "... it honestly isnt anywhere near as bad as some might tell you. Theyre just too timid to admit it."
